Retrato de Cezar Andrade

Modern dandy.

Sketched my friend Cezar Andrade in miniature style and Renaissance fashion - wearing monochrome. A courtisan would wear everything nuevo, netto & nero: all-black look, fashionably neat. This makes for a modern dandy. The latin scripts state his age and year

I was researching about miniature portraits and loved the works of Clouet, Holbein and especially Hilliard, whom I took some of the lettering from. It's incredible how they could paint in such a small scale. Since I don't have the materials and technique to replicate the stuff, I did a vision in Prismacolor and paper, then color corrected in Photoshop.
